If you've been living under a rock for the last 24 hours, Metallica dropped a new single, "Hardwired" off their long-anticipated upcoming album of the same name and it's been the talk of social media the last day.
Just in case you haven't heard the track:
The song has been getting favorable reviews in our poll, with nearly 75% of the 10,000 people who voted saying they have a favorable review. Metallica being the biggest metal band on the planet, and one of the biggest bands of all time, illicit a big reaction from everybody in the metal scene and we thought it'd be fun to point out some reactions to the new track:

Hold on. Metallica have released an actual thrash metal song in 2016. This is not the world we formed a band in.

And, of all places MSNBC anchor Rachel Maddow loves her some Metallica too… (then again, this isn't the first time she shared her love for the band)
