Still riding high from their universally acclaimed 2016 album Mariner, [included in Metal Injection’s own best of the year top 10 list no less] the Swedish post-metal masters in Cult of Luna are dropping an epic new live DVD/collectors set titled Years In A Day, today, April 21st via Indie Recordings.

Recorded live from a rare, spellbinding performance last year at Paris’ La Gaîté Lyrique; this mammoth concert video is two hours of sonic and visual wizardry. The band rips through thirteen tracks from their storied discography, awash in shadows, strobes and ominous stage lighting. There’s nothing like experiencing Johannes Persson’s roar in glorious HD. Scratch that, I’m sure catching their insane live act still takes the cake. However, as the band has taken a step back from full time touring in recent years, nabbing a copy of Years In A Day, which also boasts two live CD’s of the band’s performances at Roadburn Festival 2013 and 2016; is likely the next best thing.

Years In A Day DVD Track List:
1.   The Sweep
2.  Light Chaser
3.  Echoes
4.  Owlwood
5.  The Weapon
6.  Waiting for You
7.  Marching to the Heartbeats
8.  Finland
9.  Back to Chapel Town
10.  And With Her Came the Birds
11.   Thirtyfour
12.   Dim
13.   Dark City Dead Man

That is, unless you’re fortunate enough to catch the band on one of their handful of North American tour dates this summer…OR you make the trip down to 2017’s Psycho Las Vegas festival this August; where Cult of Luna and their Mariner collaborator, the incomparable Julie Christmas are set to destroy ears and psyches alike at, quite literally, the hottest festival of the season.

Plan you metal vacation with Cult of Luna, Julie Christmas and a zillion other insane acts, at this year's Psycho Festival, HERE.
