Everyone knows Cradle of Filth and everyone knows on a basic level what to expect from new albums. But on their latest album, Cryptoriana – The Seductiveness Of Decay, what you might presume to hear may go even beyond that.

Entrails has been on the scene for quite a bit, but they don’t seem to have the household-name status of some of the aforementioned bands. That obviously doesn’t mean they’re not a solid band, and in fact World Inferno should prove that very well.
Given that Alestorm is very much known for these traits and does very little in ways of change, you would think that they would get hackneyed and worn out, but every Alestorm album has just been a ridiculous amount of fun. No Grave But The Sea is an absolute continuation of this trend.
Overall, I like Torment, but I’m definitely not in love with it. The musicianship that is immortalized on this album is fantastic, and there are definitely quite a few wonderful gems as well, but there are flip sides to these pros as well. M

Redemption has been a pretty consistently successful prog act, being able to hang and tour with the likes of Dream Theater and others. Yet, it always seems that Redemption has never been able to break through the other giants like Symphony X or Fates Warning. However, with their newest Metal Blade release, The Art of Loss, perhaps things will start to change for the band.
